visit the beach any time you want or just chill out in the woods with wildlife.
From fancy hotels with fresh sheets to pitching a tent in the wild, whatever you want to do, you can do it here. Some of the places allow pets, a few do not. Most have plots with utilities and almost every one of them has a pool so bring your swimsuit and sunscreen. Leave your extra bags with one of the luggage storage sites in Barcelona so you don’t have to take them with you.Â
Campgrounds
- Vilanova Park
With hundreds of spots, you can enjoy camping in the mountains of Barcelona any time at Vilanova Park. They offer electricity and Wi-Fi at every site and some have water and sewer services as well. You may not even want to leave the park to visit Barcelona because they have so much to do. From swimming in several pools, a game room, sporting fields, and a restaurant, there is something for everyone. The laundromat and supermarket are also conveniently on-site. They even have a souvenir shop, so you do not even have to go into town to get souvenirs.Â
- Camping Sitges
Less than half a mile from the beach, Camping Sitges has 166 plots to choose from. Whether you are sleeping under the stars in a tent or in your motorhome, this park is perfect. With several swimming pools including one for babies, a restaurant with a bar, a camp store with groceries, and a playground for the kids, you may never want to leave. Play some ping pong or petanque. Or you can find a golf course, hiking, mountain biking, underwater fishing, and boating nearby.
- Camping Estrella de Mar
If you want to pitch your own tent, Camping Estrella de Mar has spacious sites for one large tent or RV within five minutes of the coast. A supermarket, bathrooms with showers, a restaurant, Wi-Fi, and laundromat are available for everyone, and they even have a playground. Take a dip in the pool or play some basketball or football while you are there. They also have activities for everyone of all ages.Â
RV CampingÂ
- Camping 3 Estrellas
No matter how big your rig, you can find a spot for it at Camping 3 Estrellas on the sea. Shaded by palm trees, each site has electricity, free Wi-Fi, water, on-site drainage, and pets are welcome. They even have dishwashers you can use as well as a laundromat, store, and barbecue area. The pool is nice, but you are just a few feet from the beach, so take your pick.Â
- Camping Victoria
In the nearby city of Canet de Mar, Camping Victoria has large RV sites with water, electricity, showers, restrooms, and a dump station. This quaint family park is located along the trails and nearby Maresme Coast by the bluffs. They boast two pools, a bar, laundry service, a petanque court, and a playground. Nearby, you can find golf, fishing, mountain biking, and shopping.Â
- La Rueda Campground
La Rueda Campground has 339 sites for rigs up to 70 feet long. From full shade to full sun, whichever you want, most sites come with electricity, Wi-Fi, and water. There is also a pool, snack bar, camp store, playground, and showers. The beach is within walking distance, so be sure to bring your beach toys and sunscreen. You can even wash your car or laundry if you want to. But who wants to do that on vacay?
Glamping
- Roca Grossa
These adorable bungalows on the beach have mountain and sea views, two pools, tennis, and petanque courts. The kids will love the playground and the swimming platform, and you will love having a supermarket and restaurant on-site. The Cala Roca Grossa beach is surrounded by humongous rocks the size of mansions to make a nice private cove for the campers there.
- Els Pins ResortÂ
Els Pins Resort is just a few steps from the beach on Malgrat de Mar and has two huge pools with slides, playgrounds for the kids, a restaurant, bar, and even entertainment during the busy season. It’s right next to the 37,000-acre Montnegre Nature Park where you can get some selfies at the Vallgorguina Dolmen, a massive 5,000-year-old stone monument. The rooms are amazing, and you can even get a spa treatment.Â
- Campsite El Garrofer
Located in the Natural Park of Garraf in the European Ecopark, enjoy some glamping in one of the wooden loft sites at El Garrofer. Each one has a bathroom, kitchen, terrace, and even a fireplace. They also offer luxury tents as you have never seen them with dining rooms, bathrooms and showers, a full kitchen, and three bedrooms complete with beds and electricity.Â

- Camping Masnou
Along the Maresme coast, Camping Masnou opened in 1956 and was the first campground in Spain. This place is special, with a bar and disco right on site for those who want to do some dancing. Other amenities include a market, pool, restaurant, beach, BBQs, and picnic areas, and pets are welcome. They also have free Wi-Fi and access to public transportation right out front of the campground.Â
- Camping Barcelona
Along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea near Mataro, Camping Barcelona offers dozens of RV sites for rigs up to 60 feet long. The pet-friendly campground has a beach, heated pool, showers, electricity, laundromat, a store, and a restaurant. They even have a farm, hiking/biking trails, and free shuttle service to and from Barcelona daily.Â
- Montseny ParkÂ
Your pooch is more than welcome at the Fontmartina Campground, where you can choose from hundreds of sites. Whether you want to pitch a tent, park your motorhome, or rent a cabin, you can do all these things in Montseny Park. They also have hotels, hostels, and a farmhouse that has 10 rooms if you have the whole group with you.
